SeamSleeve: Robust Arm Movement Sensing through Powered Stitching
SeamSleeve provides a method for using garment seams as sensing channels while retaining the benefits of regular clothing design. Conductive seams powered at low voltages stitch together everyday fabric panels, resulting in a novel sensing mechanism capable of enabling everyday motion capture. We identify optimal seam design and placement on the sleeve, and demonstrate that our approach is capable of successfully classifying arm exercises, supporting longitudinal physiotherapeutic rehabilitation beyond the clinic.

    make some el paint using rochelle crystals instead of barium titanate, and el phosphor then bind that with acyrlic or enamel base paint 'not clear coat mean proffesional automotive base... bind these and get your particle sizes down as to be uniform and not so large as to not atomise in a spray gun... add at alternating emf and it will light up like a fluro tube... i have just moved onto making my filament with it inlaid as to make my entire prints essentially an led.. works awsome feel free to get inventive people things are not as hard as they might seem!!

    Hi, is it true, the quartz crystal is used in their engine is meant to resonate with the field generator? It resonates into its natural frequency once the engine is turned on. So you don't have to tune it, because it tunes itself. The quartz crystal is shaped like a sphere And some parts of the vortex generators is placed inside of the quartz crystals to amplify the vortex engine.Is this true? ☺️. Why do we need a magnet plate on the aircraft body to guide the vortex towards the dome?

    Wow?! An array of carefully aimed ultrasonic transducers to create a convergence of standing waves! I thought there would need to be deflection from a wall just beyond that point? I’m seeing the results, and it’s baffling, just how cheap and ‘back yard’ that device seems to be?! I would have thought that there would be so many different careful things to consider. He carefully and knowingly checked for the polarity of the transducers. I don’t even know how much volume of fluid to put in my ultrasonic cleaner, or even where I might look to find the formula to make that calculation. This guy must be the one I should ask! The future looks brighter thanks to demonstrations such as this. Thank you very much for sharing this!!

    • @olliehanton5602
      @olliehanton5602 4 года назад

      Hi Jem, One of the key innovations of ProtoSpray is the use of conductive material as channels to shape the lit-up segments. If you were able to tesselate laser cut segments of conductive and insulating material together without a gap or ridge between them, then the process could be directly ported over. Otherwise you would need to layer on a conductive material (e.g. copper paint) as a base electrode and shape that into your segments. I hope that helps!

    Hi, Is it possible to send more than 1 signal through the wire to create a wave of the same affect, without having to worry about the angles of the transducers or do they have to be on a certain angle? Can you also create a magnetic field from coil and convert it to ultrasonic waves? Are you able to make a helmet that can produce theta wave stimulation of the brain?
